As you may know, Bas Bleu moved to its new facility in 2004 opening to record crowds.Over the last 4 seasons, we have sold more than 80,000 tickets, our budget has grown more than 110% and we’ve received local, regional and national awards and accolades. Our main stage productions regularly attract more than 1,900 patrons each. We have advertising contracts with more than 5 media outlets, our mailing list has over 6,900 active patrons and our monthly e-mail newsletter reaches more than 4,300 loyal supporters.
Earlier this year, Bas Bleu was heralded 2009’s “#6 Fastest Growing Company Under $2 Million” by Northern Colorado Business Report’s “Mercury 100” list. We were #1 in 2008. The Theatre was also the recipient of the 2008 Henry Award for “Outstanding Regional Theatre” from the Colorado Theatre Guild, and received three 2008 Denver Post Ovation awards: “Theater Person of the Year” (Wendy Ishii), “Best Sound
Design” (Annaleigh Timmerman and Walton Jones for Wings) and “Best Remount” (A 1940s Radio Christmas Carol). Most recently, we were extremely honored to receive the 2009 City of Fort Collins Human Relations Commission Award for Organizations which celebrates “those in our community who promote acceptance and respect for diversity”.
