Readers' Thetre presents The Baby Dance

Bas Bleu Readers' Theatre offers this play as a companion piece to our main stage production of Ms. Anderson’s Looking for Normal.  Wanda and Al, who already have four children, have agreed to give up their fifth child for adoption by a well-to-do couple, Rachel and Richard, from Los Angeles.  Rachel visits the couple in their Louisiana trailer park, only to be appalled by their lifestyle and the hazards it presents for the unborn child. Conflicting human needs and values keep the tension mounting as the birth nears, with surprising and moving results.   Equity Guest Artist Amy Scholl will read the role of Wanda.
